In 2026, the domestic aluminum processing equipment industry has entered a critical cycle of structural upgrading. Driven by the booming demand for new energy lightweight components, photovoltaic structural parts, rail transit and high-precision industrial profiles, upstream extrusion and casting equipment are undergoing rapid technological iteration. The industry has officially phased out low-end competition centered on tonnage and speed, and fully shifted to four core development directions: high precision, low residual stress, low carbon energy saving, and intelligent self-adaptation.
The most prominent technological transformation this year is the industry’s shift from post-production stress relief to source stress control. Traditional production lines rely on cryogenic treatment and vibration aging to correct profile deformation, leading to high operating costs and unstable consistency. Advanced modern production lines are widely equipped with integrated systems including gradient billet heating, zoned mold temperature control, and staged aerosol quenching. By intelligently closing the loop of full-process temperature, flow velocity and cooling curve control, residual stress is suppressed during forming, effectively reducing defects such as torsion, warping and dimensional deviation, and meeting the strict manufacturing standards for new energy battery trays and high-end photovoltaic frames.
In terms of intelligent manufacturing, AI adaptive process systems and 2D+3D online visual inspection have become standard configurations for high-end production lines. By collecting real-time data of extrusion pressure, mold temperature and discharging speed, the equipment dynamically adjusts process parameters within milliseconds, reducing reliance on veteran operators and improving first-time mold trial success rate and product consistency. Digital twin technology and predictive maintenance modules are gradually applied, promoting aluminum production lines toward minimal-manpower and unmanned smart factories.
Green low-carbon technology and recycled aluminum integrated equipment have become major market growth drivers. With tightening global carbon management policies, energy-saving closed melting, regenerative combustion, and electromagnetic purification technologies have been widely popularized. These technologies effectively reduce metal loss and energy consumption, enabling higher recycling ratios of secondary aluminum materials.
Industry institutions forecast that the elimination and replacement of outdated equipment, the upgrading of intelligent integrated production lines, and equipment exports to emerging overseas markets will sustain the growth of the aluminum processing equipment industry from 2026 to 2028. Intelligent low-stress integrated lines will become the core competitive barrier of the industry in the next three years.
